Following the transition to the 2nd stage of the sanitary containment relief plan, ONCF announces a gradual resumption of the Al Boraq and Al Atlas trains from Thursday 25 June, 2020 in compliance with health security measures.

Following the decision of the public authorities relating to the transition to the second stage of the “sanitary containment relief plan”, this recovery will take place on the Tangier-Casablanca, Fès-Casablanca-Marrakech, Casablanca-Nador and Oujda axes, Casablanca -Safi and Khouribga, as well as Tanger-Fès and Oujda, indicates the ONCF in the press release.

In addition, proximity trains (Rapid Shuttle Trains: TNR) will be reinforced on the Casablanca-Settat, Casablanca-El Jadida and Casablanca Rabat-Kenitra links, according to the same source, a program as this program, which includes a daily supply of 116 trains combined with the reopening of stations, will be gradually adapted according to changes in demand.

Regarding protection and health security measures, the ONCF insists on the compulsory wearing of masks, respect for social distancing in stations and on trains, enhanced and continuous cleaning and disinfection of trains and shared spaces in stations and the availability of hydroalcoholic gel in stations and on board trains, in addition to the application of the exceptional measure to reduce sales and occupancy capacity to 50% during this phase, with compulsory reservation in all trains.
